Westerdam Food – Jan. 2018

Overall, I enjoyed the food on Westerdam.

Dinners in Main Dining Room
Dinners in the main dining room were mostly good, I thought. We had early fixed dining, and most of the people there were dressed nicely, even on smart casual nights. I did not see anyone in shorts, and I think I saw only one or two jeans in the dining room in the entire the cruise. On the other hand, I only saw a couple of men in tux on Gala Nights though. Most men were wearing suits or sport coat with tie, and the rest in collared shirts and slacks.

Sorry, I didn’t save the 1st night’s menu!

Dinners in Specialty Restaurants
We tried all of the special restaurants at least once, including the “Sel de Mer” night in Pinnacle Grill. They were all good, but once was enough.

Breakfast
We ate most of our breakfasts in Pinnacle Grill. Breakfast in Pinnacle Grill is one of the suite perks. They serve the same food as the main dining room, but we enjoyed the more private and quiet atmosphere of Pinnacle Grill.

We also ordered room service breakfast a few times. I wasn’t overly thrilled with the selection (just basic eggs and bacon/sausage type breakfast). When I wanted lighter breakfast and ordered fruits, they were mostly watermelon, which I’m not overly fond of.

Lunch
We had our lunches in the main dining room, Lido, Dive-In, and Pinnacle Grill. We also often had just light snack in Neptune Lounge on port days when it was too late to eat a big lunch.
